Dr. George Oliver Moss was born in 1895. He graduated from Bradley College in Peoria, Illinois in 1918, with dual degrees in watch-making and optometry — two professions calling for extreme attention to detail. Dr. Moss began practicing optometry as an employee of The State Jewelers, located next to the Historic State Theater on Hennepin Avenue.
